Duncan, Tennessee's county attorney is gunned down in the courthouse parking lot -- a point-blank shotgun blast in the back. I have yet to find a book by Margaret Koch that doesn’t delight me and her novel ‘To Kill An Echo,’ is no exception. The twists and turns in the life of Barbara Stark a Psychologist in Duncan, Tennessee, always borders on the weird and mysterious. She seems to draw those who are mad or murderous to her like a moth to a flame, leaving the reader to delight in the psychology of both the murderer and the problem solver.Ms. Koch’s characters are rich in human nature in all its glory and brutality, yet she keeps you both guessing and laughing as Ms. Stark stumbles into yet another mysterious happening or murderous psychopath, who continues to stalk her to their very destruction.
This reader cannot get enough of Margaret Koch’s stories, each one draws me into the next and I have to admit I will read anything this writer pens.
I loved this book and highly recommend it.

Another fabulous book in the Barb Stark series! So well written and hard to put down. I have several friends hooked on the series too!
Buy the whole series and binge on it. Even though it is written for the , it is a good binge.
Psychologist Barbara Stark has changed lovers and is still under threats of immediate death plus she is now starting to enjoy the benefits of the previous book. Our author is completely in control of this amazing book in her so far 5-book series. I'm waiting for the next one and have even recommended the books to my sister who bears some resemblance to Barb.
I was afraid Margaret Koch had written Dr. Barb Stark into a corner in her last book, but I am delighted to discover that the corner was actually a door to another fine mystery. This series continues to send its characters in unexpected but totally believable directions. The ending took me completely by surprise although it was a logical place for the book to go. I'll eagerly await book 6.
